VAR-SPE infinitely variable speed units are famed for their extreme reliability and service to industry. They work according to the hydrostatic principle with hydraulic radial piston pump units i.e. the pump is a variable displacement pump and the hydraulic motor is a constant displacement one.

Worm Gears
Var-Spe SpA also offers its clients a wide range of wormscrew reducers in sizes from 30 up to 110, with helical worm gear and combined.
The reducers can be coupled to the speed variators and in this case constitute a complete Var-Spe group able to resolve the most varied requirements of motorization or automation.
All of the reducers can be equipped with flanges, feet, torque arms and various types of output shafts to create the required configuration, thus guaranteeing a product of the highest modularity.

Hydraulic Motors
Var-Spe has created a new, modern, hydraulic motor, born from its experience of power transmission, which has matured over three decades: a fast motor with radial pistons.
The characteristics that distinguish it are little displacement, high rotation speed, quietness and very high efficiency.
It can be equipped with a series of accessories that allow applications in which a certain degree of automation is required.
The new motor disposes of unified IEC B5 flanges for direct coupling to the reducers; it is also available with flanges according to the standard IEC B14, SAE and even the American unification NEMA. Furthermore it can function by means of a pump connected by coupling to the electric motor.

Pumps
The new Var-Spe variable displacement pump is an innovative product. Likewise the hydraulic motor represents a new solution for the concept of radial pistons. It is made with an aluminium housing, and the inside body is highly resistant cast iron. It guarantees a high efficiency together with the Var-Spe mark's own reliability. The pump has a high number of devices for speed adjustment.
It is the ideal choice for applications that require variable flow rate in both directions, up to 1800 rpm and powers from 0.55 kW to 5.5 kW. The pump comes as standard fitted with an auxiliary system for closed circuit working, and inside it has a small tank.

Hydrostatic Transmission
Var-Spe can provide hydrostatic transmissions suitable for a wide range of industrial and civil applications.
The working principle of the hydraulic transmission consists of the transfer of power at distance, without mechanical devices (gear wheels, belts, chains, joints, etc.), but making use of the versatility and reliability of hydraulic energy, thereby guaranteeing high flexibility in the project.
Var-Spe hydrostatic transmission is a completely autonomous system. It is watertight and complete with the regulation system most suited to the specific applications, as well as an internal tank and auxiliary circuit.
The displacements available for the pumps and the motors permit a wide range of combinations of speed and output torques. This range can be further widened by means of the direct coupling of the hydraulic motors to the reducers. This can be done simply, thanks to the Unel B5 or B14 flange, without the use of special coupling systems. Var-Spe is also able to provide a complete range of reducers, both coaxial and worm gear.
The wide choice of Var-Spe hydrostatic transmission adjustment devices permits a high level of automation and a notable flexibility in adaptation to multiple industrial applications. |
