Carlor Advanced Engine Pre-Heaters
Kraft Power is pleased to introduce a new line of top quality engine heaters manufactured by Carlor Engineering. Carlor engine heaters offer many advantages over other brands:
- “Thermocar” thermosiphon type (non pumped) heaters are designed to outlast other heaters, avoiding the cost and inconvenience of short engine heater life.
- “Topstart” heaters offer affordable pumped heat circulation. Circulating pump on units as low as 1000w; better heat distribution through engine, better for engine, less deterioration of coolant, and longer hose life because of uniform, lower temperature compared to thermosiphon method.
- “Advanced” heaters include all the features of Topstart, with the addition of diesel fuel preheating.
- Heater Bodies are made from aluminum tubing, not die cast, making them more rugged.
- Overheating thermostat features a manual reset. The heater less likely to continue cycling on and off, allowing for increased lifetime
- Stainless steel sheathed heating element (Incoloy 800), low watt density= longer life.
Engine heaters eliminate “cold starts”. For emergency generators, this means the engine can be started more reliably and quickly. Other benefits include less engine wear, reduced pollution, and improved fuel economy. Studies have shown that cold-started engines consume more fuel, and emit more pollution.
