Kohler's Diesel Mobile Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is an integrated system that provides an in-cab heating and cooling system for driver comfort and offers truck battery charging, as well. This new auxiliary power unit is built with a CARB/EPA Tier II emission compliant engine, which will continue to be emissions compliant through 2010. This product is perfect for the Class 8 heavy-duty, long-haul trucking market as a solution to the needs of the emerging idle reduction marketplace. Legislative, economic, and environmental drivers are converging to accelerate the need for idle reduction technology on trucks.

A full in-cab climate control system is available, to provide either heating or cooling output with a remote gauge for in-cab monitoring and operation. These stand-alone units bring less intrusion into the truck's critical systems.

The KOHLER APU is designed for ease of service and low maintenance needs over the life of the unit. The KOHLER APU has an oil service interval of 500 hours to reduce standard maintenance costs.
