Standby generator systems are specially designed and built to work in your small business atmosphere. Whether you have a home office, or run a small business enterprise, KOHLER standby generator systems can be sized to power all or part of your total electrical needs.
Small business standby generator systems -- a generator set and an automatic transfer switch -- monitor your utility power and automatically come online during a power failure, even if you're not at work.
A standby generator system, which is a little larger than a central air-conditioning unit, is professionally installed in a permanent location outside your office or facility and is powered by natural gas (NG), liquid propane (LP) or, diesel fuel.
Each system is enclosed in an unobtrusive protective housing that is tamper-resistant,weatherproof and sound-deadened. In addition, they feature internal exhaust systems to ensure quiet, safe operation.
When your utility power fails, the automatic transfer switch senses a loss of power and immediately starts the generator. Once utility power has been restored, the transfer switch shifts your business back to main power, and shuts down the generator.
The automatic transfer switch "exercises" the generator system weekly to ensure it is always in working order. Kohler automatic transfer switches are UL-listed and CSA certified.
